  • 1 Year Old Classes

    In this class, parents and young toddlers play and learn together. Time will be provided for parent discussion in the classroom. Parents and Children do not separate.
  • 2 Year Old Classes

    Parents will separate from the children’s classroom to discuss the joys and challenges of parenting two year olds.
  • 3 Year Old Classes

    Come to this class where parents can enjoy and learn about the explosion of language, independence and personality which characterizes this age. There will be lots of fun and learning for parents and children.
  • Babies Class

    Learn about your child's emotional, social, and physical development through discussions focused on the interests of the group. You may join baby classes at any time throughout the school year!
  • Early Childhood Family Education

    Parents and their children attend weekly classes together. ECFE classes include the following: • Parent/Child Time - A variety of learning activities are set up at stations around the room for you and your child to choose from and enjoy purposeful, and interactive playtime together. • Parent Discussion – Parents meet with a parent group facilitator for discussion and support. • Children’s Classroom – Children enjoy play, snack and story time while parents meet for discussion.
  • Early Childhood Screening

    Early Childhood Screenings are required for all children before entering kindergarten in Minnesota. Recommended screening age is 3.5 years old. The Chisago Lakes School District provides FREE Early Childhood Screenings throughout the year. During early childhood screenings, staff will check your child's: vision, hearing, height, weight, immunization status, language, motor and communication skills, social/emotional skills and overall development. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss the results of the screening with a staff member. If you do not receive an automatic confirmation email with your appointment date and time you have not completed the registration process for an Early Childhood Screening appointment. *If you would like to be added to the waitlist for an earlier date that is currently full, please contact the Early Childhood Office at 651-213-2282
  • Preschool Plus Parents

    Parents and children attend class one day each week together, and children attend the second day by themselves. Parent participation on parent/child days is required, as activities set up in the classroom are designed for children to do with their parents. Parents also will enjoy group discussions about ways to help prepare children for a positive transition to kindergarten.
