Beginner to Intermediate Tennis Class: Grades 2th through 11th (Register by grade completed of 2024/2025 SY)
WE HAVE SIMPLIFIED THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS THIS YEAR! We will hold 5 classes this year: 4 for Beginner-To-Intermediate, and 1 for Intermediate-To-Advanced. For our BEGINNER-TO-INTERMEDIATE Classes, all you simply need to do is pick a time and enroll your student. During week 1 we will separate students according to ability and age. These classes will take place at 7:30am, 8:30am, 9:30am, and 10:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If your student has played before and/or has participated on a high school team, the INTERMEIDATE-TO- ADVANCED Class may be for them. (But please make sure your student is advanced enough for this class.) This class will be held at 11:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All classes give your student an opportunity to learn the great game of tennis! This will be accomplished through a fun, safe and positive tennis experience that will give each student a solid introduction to the game. Participants will learn how to properly hold a racket, perform drills that can help with their eye- hand coordination, and swing the racket properly for groundstrokes and volleys. Each player will be given personal attention and taught through repetition in an enjoyable, lively atmosphere. ALSO, WE WILL BE USING MORE GAMES THIS YEAR FOR LEARNING!
These classes are led by Ron Ingalls. Ron has been a Head High School Coach in past years at Forest Lake and Chisago. He was recently accredited by Racket Sports Professionals Association as a certified Tennis Instructor. If you have any questions concerning what racket to acquire or whether or not your student is ready for the advanced-to-intermediate class, etc.; don't hesitate to contact Coach Ron @ 651-271- 8075 or ingallsrontennis@gmail.com.
