    Middle School Strength & Conditioning

    Come and get a great workout twice per week. The workouts will be subjective to each student's ability level. Students will be divided into 2-3 workout levels and each group will get an appropriate workout based on their age & fitness level. A great way to get active for beginning lifters or build strength and conditioning for student-athletes!
  • Fencing Club

    Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of fencing! Come and join Chisago Lakes Fencing Club! Fencing is a vigorous sport that develops stamina, quick reactions, speed, accuracy of movement and excellent coordination. More than a game, fencing requires a mental attitude of self-discipline involving total manipulation of mind and body in perfect harmony. It utilizes natural body movement to create simple and effective self-protection techniques with the sword. All participants are encouraged to have fun no matter what their ability. Attacking, defense, timing and intense tactics are all integrated into this beginning class. If needed, we can provide fencing gear (mask, jacket, glove, and weapon). Fencers should come dressed comfortably (for freedom of movement) including long sweat pants and running shoes.
  • Wrestling: Beginner Clinic

    Beginner Wrestling: K - Gr 2 Wrestling provides a student with an opportunity to develop confidence, be active, and create friendships. This class is intended for those beginning in the sport and interested to learn more about it. 2nd graders with a year or more experience should register for the Advanced course or email BNelson@isd2144.org for guidance.
  • Wrestling: Advanced Clinic

    Gr. 2-6 This is for wrestlers looking to compete in tournaments and ready to perfect learned techniques. 2nd graders who have at least one year of experience can register for this class, otherwise they should register for the K-2 class. Wrestling at the youth level incorporates many different training methods including tumbling and relays to work on agility. This clinic uses a systematic progression of wrestling moves that are appropriate for each age level. Questions about readiness should be emailed to BNelson@isd2144.org
  • Gymnastics: Open Gym

    Gr. 1-12 A great opportunity for extra practice on polishing and perfecting your skills. This open gym will be supervised by an experienced instructor with limited spotting available. We will spend 20 minutes on group warm up. This Open Gym must have a minimum of 3 registered by 2:00 pm the Friday prior to the Open Gym date to run the event . (You will be notified by email if class is cancelled.) $15 per session. Bring a water bottle and wear appropriate attire. i.e. leotard, shorts.

    Rhythmic Gymnastics

    Rhythmic gymnastics is just what girls need at an early age. After all, in this class, girls not only receive the physical activity necessary to improve their health, while developing vital skills and abilities; they also develop flexibility and dexterity, and acquire correct posture. Rhythmic gymnastics makes the figure beautiful, the movements flexible and graceful, so register today! The training is conducted by a professional rhythmic gymnastics athlete! And former member of the Ukrainian national team, Liudmyla Wilson.
  • SPARQ Performance AKA: Strength & Speed Training

    Winter SPARQ (Speed, Power, Agility Resistance, Quickness) Gr 9-12, 90 Participants. (Open to 8th graders November 25 provided there is room and Coach approval. Please email clcommed@isd2144.org to be added to the 8th grade list.) Training Sessions will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 - 4:15pm. Student-athletes should come to each training session ready to work and push themselves physically and mentally, with the goal of increasing their speed, power, and quickness through resistance and agility. Our weight room portion of the workout will be provided through the TeamBuilder app COST: $190: Includes SPARQ Performance t-shirt. No class: December 23th - Jan 3rd, Jan. 20th, Feb 17th and Feb.27th. (No class when school is not in session)
  • Esports Junior (Middle School)

    Chisago Lakes is excited to offer this bigger 15 session Middle School Esports Competition! They will be competing through the MNVL jr. league. This is a great opportunity to learn leadership and cooperation skills. They compete from our facility against other schools throughout the state. If they qualify, the season will end in a big state competition at St. Cloud State University on March 2nd. Games offered: Tuesdays- Minecraft Bedwars 2v2, SSBU 1v1. Thursdays- Chess, Mario Kart 2v2, Fortnite 2v2 13+ ONLY The Chisago Lakes Esports Coordinator is Hannah Holida. She can be reached at hholida@isd2144.org with questions. The spirit of MNVL is to always play if you can, and never take a forfeit win unless you absolutely must. Although not a rule, this is a standard we hope all our teams and players try to live up to!   • Active & Confident! 4-5 year olds

    The class introduces Myla Wilson, a professionally trained Ukrainian gymnast who will share her many talents and experiences. Welcome to our gymnastics class for 4 and 5 year old boys and girls! This class (section 2) will include stretching, strengthening all muscles of the body, developing coordination and the ability to react. By taking this class, students will learn to exercise appropriately, they will improve their flexibility, develop their strength and focus, discipline and gain confidence and coordination. It is an ideal base for all sports in the future! The 4 and 5 years old's will meet Thursday's 10:30 am. Please wear comfortable sportswear.
  • Parents Night Out

    Kindergarten - 6th Grade Drop the kids off and head out for date night! Community Ed staff will have fun programming planned to keep the kids entertained while the parents get away. Your kids will eat pizza, play gym games, go swimming in the pool, watch a movie and play around in the gymnastics room! Pre-Registration is required (no tickets available at the door so please register today)! Important Notes about registration: Price is $40 for one child and $10 for each additional child. If registering more than one child, please be sure to select $40 for the first child only and put that registration in the cart. Next, select the name of the 2nd child that is attending, select the $10 price for that 2nd child and complete that registration. Once all students attending are in the cart, you can complete one checkout for all.
  • Ski & Snowboard Club

    Join your friends at ski/snowboard club on Fridays this winter!! This club will provide transportation after school to Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls. Open to 9th grade to join in on the ski/snowboard club! Equipment & Lessons: • Bring skis/snowboard equipment • Equipment must not be transported to school on the regular school bus • Parents must drop off equipment between 7-7:30am to be stored at Chisago Lakes Middle School - Locker room • Equipment may be rented at Wild Mountain each week for $25 (includes skis/snowboard and helmet) Group rentals and lessons can be purchased using the following link: https://shop.wildmountain.com/groups/details?gc=25Chisago Lessons need to be scheduled and paid for through our Snow Sports Department.
