Welcome to FIRST Tech Challenge, a team sport of the mind. Work together with other middle and high school aged students to design, build, and code a robot to compete in a series of challenges with and against other robots. You can receive hands-on experience with small motors, constructing a metal frame, and fine control mechanisms. Learn real-world coding, doing the math and problem solving required to have the robot perform the tasks accurately. Keeping a team running is equally important, and students can participate in documenting the work, focusing the workflow, and interacting with other organizations to raise the funds necessary to get new parts.
A collaborative spirit and a mind willing to learn will go far in helping us build the best robot we can, while having a fantastic time doing it! Stop by for an Open House Sept 4th at 6pm in the WCC to ask questions and see the robots for yourselves.
