  • Mature Driving

    This course has been approved by the State Department of Public Safety. The course content will include physical and mental limitations, driving strategies, defensive driving and safety. **Effective July 1, the new rule states that the course must be a total of at least 4 hours. This means that a first-time participant can take a 4-hour program as their initial training – the 8-hour will no longer be a requirement. You will receive a certificate of completion. Check with your insurance agent for reduced rate information.

    Always dreamed of learning Spanish or refreshing your high school Spanish? Then this class is for you! The primary focus of the class will be on building conversational tools in Spanish through interactive practice and exercises. Vocabulary topics will include common greetings and introductions, pronunciation, numbers, food, clothing, likes and dislikes. Grammar topics will include subject pronouns, the verb estar conjugation, gender of nouns, and plurality.     Rain barrels harvest rainwater from roofs and other structures that can then be used to water gardens, lawns, and potted plants. Installing a rain barrel is an excellent way to reduce run-off and pollution as well as save MONEY! As much as 40% of residential water is used for irrigation in the summer. Participants will learn the ins and outs of rain barrels, site selection, and other tips to use rain barrels most efficiently. We will also talk about the pros and cons of many of the commercially available rain barrels and how to make your own.
