Learn about your baby's emotional, social, and physical development through discussions focused on the interest of the group. Your time spent together in the class is meant for purposeful, interactive playtime together.     15 years old and up are welcome to join us for the bear in the woods acrylic painting. This is a step by step class, so you will be learning how to blend colors and painting techniques
  • Beginner Tennis Class

    Beginner Tennis Classes: Grades 2nd - 6th OR 4th - 8th (Register by grade going into on September 1st of 2024) Our Beginner Tennis Classes are an opportunity for your child to start to learn the great game of tennis! This will be accomplished through a fun, safe and positive tennis experience that will give each child a great introduction to the game. Emphasis will be placed on learning and reinforcing good tennis mechanics. Participants will learn how to properly hold a racket, perform drills that can help with their eye-hand coordination, and swing the racket properly for groundstrokes and volleys. Each player will be given personal attention and taught through repetition in an enjoyable, lively atmosphere. A video of each player with written review will be made at the end of the session by Coach Ron and shared exclusively with parents. (Players will need to have their own racket.*) * Optional: T-Shirts are $14.00.     Beginner to Intermediate Tennis Class

    Beginner to Intermediate Tennis Class: Grades 7th through 12th (Register by grade going into on September 1st of 2024) Our Beginner to Intermediate Tennis Class will be a combo class that will give anyone in grades 7th through 12th the opportunity to either learn the great game of tennis in the first place or continue to hone their tennis skills! For beginners: Emphasis will be placed on learning and reinforcing good tennis mechanics. Participants will learn how to properly hold a racket, perform drills that can help with their eye-hand coordination, and swing the racket properly for groundstrokes and volleys. For intermediate players: This class will focus on the continual progression of their skills. Adding to all of the things listed for beginners will be: rotation of grips for groundstrokes, footwork drills, further focus on volleys, and an intro to proper half-volley and serve techniques. All players will be given personal attention and taught through repetition in an enjoyable way. Videoing will take place during the class to give students immediate feedback on how they are doing.     Host your child's next birthday party with us at the Wildcat Community Center! Your party will have access to one court or Gymnastics Room in the Fieldhouse and the Community Room for gifts and cake. (Adult/Parent supervision required at all time) This event is not full. However, dates of availability are limited due to Staffing. Online registration is not available for birthday parties.     Chisago Lakes welcomes "Camp Invention." Open to next year's K through 6th graders, Camp Invention will help your child explore learn and grow as they attend "Base Camp."   • Catalyst Basketball Skills Training

    Train with the Pro's! That is how you improve your game and reach the top level. Not someone who uses Youtube videos and played a little themselves, Catalyst Basketball Training is the best around. Professional basketball playing careers and NBA training experience makes them different. With a client list consisting of Pro players, College and High School programs you can not go wrong. In this camp with professional skills trainer Jared Berggren, players will receive detailed instruction on footwork, ball handling, finishing around the rim, and perimeter scoring moves. Players will have a chance to compete in shooting contests and live play drills where they will apply new skills against live defenders.

    Gather together with local parents of children with special needs to connect, discuss your experiences, share your knowledge and learn from one another. The discussion will be led by Chisago Lakes School District's Nora Boyle, a Lakeside Elementary Special Education Teacher who has benefitted from similar groups as a parent herself. No childcare provided at initial free meeting.

By joining C.L.P, you'll be supporting the growing sport of pickleball in our community and meeting players of all levels. You'll have use of pickleballs and beginner paddles, first aid supplies and many opportunities to play pickleball with people of all ages and abilities through our GroupMe App. CLP will help to improve amenities at our courts, offer leagues, classes, tournaments etc. We'll also have an end of the summer picnic where you can socialize outside of pickleball, too.     We are excited to announce the addition of an elementary competition team to our cheerleading program! The team will include kids who attend elementary school in the Chisago Lakes (2144) school district and in grades 1st through 5th during the 2024-2025 school year. Cheerleaders will learn all the fundamentals of cheering and stunting, learn a full routine and compete in MCCA approved competitions. Cheerleading promotes physical activity, fosters teamwork, teaches discipline and time management, encourages leadership skill all while having fun with peers! Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45pm at the High School starting in October and end the last week of January. Three Saturday competitions will be required. An initial payment at registration of $250 includes Uniforms, poms poms and competition fees. An additional fee of $100 will be required at the beginning of the season for music/choreography/bows.

    This diving program is for athletes who have had previous experience on the high school team or have diving team experience elsewhere. This session is led by Coach Hattie Opdahl. The main focus of this summer program is to work on upgrading and perfecting dives! It includes drill work, to work on both board work and technique.
